A 21-year-old motorist, Jorge Aguilar, has been apprehended on suspicion of felony vandalism for ramming his pickup truck into a gate at a sheriff’s substation in Ramona, authorities reported today.
Understanding the Incident
The incident unfolded when Aguilar, part of a group of six individuals, was initially detained for alleged illegal possession of concealed firearms and narcotics at an intersection in Ramona.Â
Released with a notice to appear in court, Aguilar’s actions took a drastic turn when he purportedly returned to the Ramona sheriff’s substation around 7:30 a.m., deliberately crashing his truck into the back gate before swiftly fleeing the scene.
Aguilar’s felony vandalism left the sheriff’s substation in chaos and endangered law enforcement and the neighborhood.
