Longview teen charged as adult after stabbing leaves 2nd teen in critical condition.
LONGVIEW Wash. (KPTV) – A 16-year-old boy is being charged as an adult after a stabbing in Longview, the Longview Police Department announced Friday.
Johnson Mailos of Longview is facing charges of first-degree attempted murder after another 16-year-old was stabbed during a fight near Elks Memorial Park at Lake Sacajawea.
On Feb. 21 shortly after 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the report of a fight, but when they arrived, all the involved teens had already left the area.
A father in Lake Oswego is accused of drugging three girls during a sleepover in August 2023.
Meanwhile, a caller reported an injured victim had been carried into St John Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The 16-year-old was still hospitalized in critical condition as of Friday, police said.
Detectives determined the stabbing victim had been at the reported fight and identified Mailos as a suspect based on witness testimony and videos of the incident, they said.Mailos was found and arrested. Police said he had a “large knife” with him when he was taken into custody.
He has been charged in Cowlitz County Superior Court as an adult, police said.
Detectives ask that any witnesses and anyone with evidence such as videos or photos to contact the Longview Police Department and request to talk to Detective Kevin Sawyer about the case.
